Attractions

Florida has such a variety of  attractions to offer visitors and residents. There are theme parks in the Orlando area like Disneyland and Wet & Wild with thrilling white knuckle rides.  In Titusville, on the east coast, you will want to see The Kennedy Space Center.  Crossing over to the west coast to Tampa is the exciting Busch Gardens and The Florida Aquarium.  South to Fort Myers to see the Thomas Edison & Ford winter Estates which are very interesting.

Take a trip out to beautiful Sanibel Island.  A large majority of the island is dedicated to wildlife at  J.N.“Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, Kayaking around there is fun.  Sanibel Island is also world renowned for the piles of colorful sea shells washed uon its white sand beaches. Sister island to Sanibel Island is captivating Captiva Island a fun place to visit.  A short ride south to Naples to the Naples Zoo and Botanical Gardens, a wonderful time spent there. Naples is a pleasure to visit with first class shopping. Next stop will be in the Everglades for an air boat ride over the grasses of the Everglades seeing all kinds of wildlife.  While down in the Everglades be sure to visit the Everglades Museum in Everglades City and in Chokoloskee the Smallwoods Store, a historical Indian trading post.  Across the Tamiami Trail to Miami to go to the fabulous Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and to the Parrot Jungle Island and the Monkey Jungle.  Taking US 1 to the Florida Keys stopping at Grassy Key to go to the Dolphin Research Center and swim with the dolphins.  Down to the last city of the United States, Key West and there the two museums to visit are Hemingway House and Museum and the Harry Truman’s Little White House.  One of the biggest attractions in Key West is the breathtaking sunsets at the end of a perfect day.  Have fun in your retirement years and do things you have always dreamed of doing.
